Das Amt was a German comedy television series which aired between 1997 to 2002 on RTL. It was created by Dietmar Jacobs.

Comedy duo Marcel Harteveld and Johan Fretz struggle with absent crowds, creative differences and no money, but despite it all they keep trying.

Gerrit Frings is facing ruin at the age of 34. After the end of his company and the suicide of his partner Markus, he is also sued by his widow Sandra. Allegedly, Gerrit owes Markus a lot of money. In reality, however, it was the other way around and his self-denial of his own situation was ultimately the reason for Markus' suicide. Gerrit's wife Claudia supports him in this difficult situation. But Gerrit falls in love with Sandra, of all people.

Bugsy, a small-time crook, seeks to bring his son home by needing a wife, money, and a career. An angel named Noname is sent to help him, but Noname is as chaotic as Bugsy. Noname’s mission is to ensure Bugsy’s happiness to avoid banishment from heaven. Bugsy meets Jasmin, but they don’t get along, and Noname falls for Bugsy’s landlady, Molle, weakening his heavenly connection.

The documentary fiction is about courageous, unknown heroes who risked their lives offering resistance against the Nazis. This 90 minutes documentary drama wants to honor these unknown heroes with fictional acting scenes, interviews with family members and eyewitnesses and with statements of experts.

The documentary sketches the essence and impact, history and present of the Berlin drama school "Ernst Busch". It takes the move of the school in 2018 as an opportunity to capture the contradictions between artistic and economic interests in post-reunification Berlin and in the present. After the end of the GDR, the school was threatened with extinction: the building was dilapidated, Berlin was broke, the search for a new location threatened to fail. The students themselves finally fought their way to the new location under the motto "Bitte nach Mitte!" ("Let’s move to the center").
